How Do I Complete a Trade Using the World of Warcraft Auction House After Buying on G2G?

After purchasing World of Warcraft items or Gold on G2G, many sellers may use the in-game Auction House to deliver your order. This guide walks you through how to complete the transaction as the buyer, based on common in-game practices.

By following the steps below, you can help ensure the trade proceeds as intended and minimize any delays or confusion.

Steps to Trade in the World of Warcraft Auction House

  1. Click on Auctions to access the auction interface.
Speak to an Auctioneer NPC in any major city and open the "Auctions" tab.

  2. Place the item you wish to sell in the auction slot.
Choose the item you want to list and drag it into the auction window. Ensure the item is tradable and appears correctly.

  3. Set the price based on the amount you purchased from G2G.com.
Enter the buyout price as agreed with your seller. Double-check to ensure it matches the purchased amount.

  4. Set the duration of your auction to 48 hours.
This provides sufficient time for the seller to locate and purchase your item.

  5. Click Create Auction to list your item.
Review all details carefully before listing.

  6. The auction will be successfully created.
You can view your active listing in the auction interface.

  7. The auction house fee will be 5%, which will be borne by the person who lists the auction.
This fee is deducted automatically from the final sale price.

  8. Press the G2G chat button to inform the seller of your auctioned items and their amounts.
Go to your G2G order page and open the chat to message your seller.

  9. Locate your seller's name and send them the details. The seller will then arrange for delivery.
Include your character name, realm/faction, item name, and price to help the seller complete the trade.

Ensure all item details and prices are correct before listing to avoid delays in the transaction.

Additional Tips

  • Double-check your realm and faction before creating the listing.

  • Keep your G2G chat open in case the seller needs clarification or confirmation.

  • Wait to confirm receipt on G2G until the item is purchased and the order is fulfilled.
